Mission:
The Data Governance Lead will lead the design and implementation of a robust data governance framework to support a decentralized, domain-driven data mesh architecture. This role is responsible for developing and enforcing comprehensive policies and processes to standardize how data is managed, accessed, and secured across the organization. The SME will establish and oversee an organization of data owners and stewards, assigning clear roles and responsibilities to ensure accountability and adherence to governance standards.
Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining Data Dictionaries, streamlining Data Access Requests and provisioning, managing Reference Data, and ensuring alignment with a Common Data Model. Additionally, the SME will design scalable and secure enterprise data strategies that enhance integration, interoperability, and analytics capabilities. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders to align the Data Mesh framework with organizational goals, while driving innovation through modern tools and technologies to operationalize data pipelines and improve data governance practices.
What We Look for:
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Extensive experience in data governance, data management, and enterprise data strategy.
- Proficiency with Data Mesh core principles and implementation in large organizations.
- Strong understanding of DoD data security and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, information systems, or a related field
- Experience supporting the DoD or other federal agencies in a data-centric role.
- Familiarity with tools such as Collibra, Unity Catalog, Apigee, or similar data governance and API management platforms.
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and secure data operations.
- A Master’s degree is preferred but not required.
Pay Range and Benefits:
Intellitech is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is $165,000 – $205,000 and represents a base salary range. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location.
